Artist's Comments

Project for class. We were to take a photo of ourselves, turn it black and white, then transfer it to a 18x24" piece of paper VIA grid, and you could distort the grid anyway you want (AKA -- distort the picture). We also got to color it any way we wanted as long as we had 2 main warm colors, and 2 cool (yellow/red, green/blue).

Colored completely with prisma colored pencils. My hand hurts.

This was probably the most fun I've had on a project in any of my art classes. :'D

And I just realized when I finished that it sort of looks like the poster for Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. [link] I'M JOHNNY DEPP NOW HAHAHA.

This is a fun looking painting. I love your choice of color for the skin tones. Overall the reds and the greens compliment each other very well.

Not a painting -- it was done completely in color pencil. :'D I should go add that in somewhere. xD

I did enjoy it in that I loved how it turned out. But the coloring process was rather tedious... I used up most of my brand new prismas doing this 'cause it's so freaking huge. D:

But the end result made it worth it. 8D

Thane is sitting in my room and staring at me, by the way. I've been trying to finish him up, but he seems a little off. D: Perhaps his eyebrows aren't big enough. xD;;;

This is so incredibly awesome, I love the colors and it looks shiny and glossy, *sigh* wish I could do that with my prismacolors . Very well done! :flirty:
